"Te" means "hand" and "ita" means "plane." Japanese Moss Snowstick rider Naoya Wada concepted and designed this tool out of his desire to use his hand as a secondary sliding surface, without the slowing that happens with a regular gloved hand. The teita has a wide, stable end and a pinned end. The wide side is for deep heelside turns and the pinned end gives a little more edge for toeside turns.
Wood patterns and branded logo vary from piece to piece. Recommended for experienced riders, and for use on flat, groomers or packed snow surfaces.
